Adam T. Knebler

Adam T. KneblerAdam was born in Wichita and raised in Augusta, Kansas.  He was active in a number of sports and graduated from Augusta High School in 2004.  During that same year, he began his college career and, in the tradition of his father, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

In 2006, Adam married his high school sweetheart, Kristen Howard, and started a second part-time job working at Kensington Gardens.  His position with Kensington soon became full-time, as he continued his college classes.  Adam currently serves as Director of Grounds and Equipment.

His relationship with the Cozine family and Kensington Gardens actually started one summer when he was 13-years-old.  His grandfather, L.A. “Tubby” Knebler, a prominent Midwestern building contractor, served as the general contractor and consultant for Kensington Gardens.  Mr. Knebler would regularly bring his grandson to the site and put him to work.  It was during these times that Adam learned about construction skills, problem-solving and the development of a strong work ethic.  His grandpa also taught him how to drive by practicing on the roads at Kensington Gardens.

In December of 2008, Adam graduated from Wichita State University with a BA degree.  He was also called into active service by the United States Marine Corps.  After an extensive computerized research and interview process, Adam was hand-selected to be stationed at Dover Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware.  He is currently assigned to the Mortuary Affairs Division and oversees the receiving and attending to Marines who have lost their lives while serving our country.

We are proud of Adam and of the noble service he is helping to provide to our fallen heroes, their families and our nation.  We look forward to the completion of his duties and his
safe return home.
