Brookfield, Wis. – W. Ashley Cozine, CFSP, CPC, of Wichita, KS, has committed to serve as a member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Spokesperson Team and Professional Development Committee for 2010-11. Cozine’s role within NFDA will have a significant impact on the association, its members and the funeral service profession at-large.
“Ashley was appointed to serve on both the Spokesperson Team and the Professional Development Committee because of his demonstrated commitment to advancing the goals of NFDA,” said NFDA Chief Executive Officer Christine Pepper, CAE. “Ashley’s efforts will uphold NFDA’s mission of informing, educating and advocating to help members enhance the quality of service they provide to families.”
Members of the NFDA Spokesperson Team are called upon to speak on behalf of the association to local, state and national media representatives and other audiences, providing insight and expertise on the valuable service funeral professionals provide to families every day.
Members of NFDA’s Professional Development Committee review and recommend submitted workshop topics and speakers for NFDA’s International Convention & Expo – the world’s largest annual gathering of funeral service professionals. The committee also provides ideas and insights for NFDA professional development offerings, which ultimately help the association’s worldwide membership improve the quality of service they provide to families.
