Classic Metal Vaults protect the casket from water and other elements through the use of an air seal principle. This can be easily demonstrated by turning a glass upside down and then submerging the glass into water. The air trapped inside the glass prevents the water from rising more than a fraction of an inch. The same is true of a non-porous CMV metal vault. The air trapped inside the dome prevents outside water from reaching the casket.
Bronze is a metal composed of copper and small amounts of zinc, tin, phosphorus and other elements. Of all the materials used in the manufacture of burial vaults, the longest lasting metal is bronze. This double welded, solid bronze vault offers natural corrosion resistance and timeless protection. Hand brushed panels are fitted with coordinating hardware. One of the finest and most beautiful outer burial containers.
Copper is of one of the earth’s longest lasting elements. It is an ideal metal for burial vaults because it does not become brittle in low temperatures. Our Copper vault is double welded and water tested; this solid copper vault is known for its strength and durability as well as timeless beauty. Hand brushed side and end panels and decorative hardware complete this vault.
Galvanizing is an accepted method of inhibiting corrosion and its resulting metal damage. Using the hot-dipped galvanizing technique, the base and dome are enhanced with a zinc iron alloy to increase metal durability. A clear color coating shows off the metal’s beauty and adds additional protection to these double welded and water tested vaults.
