Horrell, Ella Mary, 95, passed away on November 24, 2017. Visitation with family at 9:30 am with funeral following at 10:30 am, Saturday, at Broadway Mortuary Chapel. Mary was born in Bentonville, Arkansas on October 10, 1922 to Charles E. and Flora O. McNelly. She moved to Kansas at an early age. Mary graduated from Leon High School and then attended The Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas, graduating with a Civil Service diploma. She then went to Washington, DC where she worked in The Pentagon. She returned to Wichita, married and eventually went to work at Boeing, where she was employed for 33 years. Mary was laid off for 5 years and worked for SRS and Pizza Hut, Inc. Mary was active in her church, enjoyed singing in the choir, served as a Sunday School secretary, Women's Missionary Society, etc. She also loved working in her flower garden. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles E. McNelly, Jr. She leaves behind 3 children: A. Florine Trout of Wichita, Stanley W. Mitchell, Jr. of Derby and H. Roy Mitchell of Wichita; brother, Vernon McNelly of Mt. Ida, AR; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
