May God's loving arms wrap you all up in his comfort and give you all peace.
We all know the sorrow you are going through but we also know to be absent from the body is to be in the presence of God.

It’s hard to find the right words of encouragement during a time like this, but I would just like to share that Bro. Swope was such a wonderful pastor. I enjoyed going to youth meetings and church camp and hearing him preach. I loved how he was energetic and the way he showed his love and enthusiasm for the Lord! I miss hearing him open up his Bible before he began to preach and yelling “Yippee”! He will greatly be missed, but will live forever in our hearts and minds. Can’t wait to meet him again someday in Heaven and hope to hear that wonderful word again that he loved to use before he would begin to start a sermon. Sending my condolences and prayers to the family during this difficult time. In Christ Love, Leetta Baker

What a blessing to have had this God fearing, independent, premilinial, Baptist preacher in my life since I was born! He and his wife led me to salvation and that is the best give anyone could receive. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Jon, and David, and the rest of the loved ones who will miss him dearly. I know he is happier than his happiest day on earth with our Lord and savior and all who have gone before him.. much love, Sherry

I was blessed to grow up with Pastor Ted as my preacher. He was one of the most steadfast and faithful men I’ve ever known. Our youth today are really missing how special of a preacher he was in his hay day. He made a great impact on my life, because of how God spoke through him, I got saved and asked the Lord to be my Saviour. he also baptized me. It was a dream come true to have him officiate Tom and I’s wedding. He will be missed by many, but we know he is where he devoted his whole life to be. He has walked on the street of gold and seen Jesus face to face. He’s been reunited with Sis. Swope. Before his dementia got bad, evert time he shook my bad, he told me he loved me. It was an honor to call him my pastor and my friend. Because of his witness my Grandma and Grandpa (who were Catholic) accepted Christ as their Saviour before they passed and for that I’ll always be grateful. My prayers go out to your family for God’s Grace and strength. Love you all!

Bro Swope will truly be missed. He was/is a man of God. I am sure he is having a joyous reunion with Sis Swope and what a celebration, to be in the presence of our Lord God. We hold the Swope family dear in our thoughts and prayers. Our love to you all and to Bethel Baptist Church.
