To the family: It was with great sadness that I learned of Kathy's death. She was a delightful person and a gracious and warm hostess. Although she was a UCal grad, we made her an honorary member of the Tornado Alley Tornadoes chapter of the Mizzou Alumni Association; she and Corky hosted many Board meetings at their home and participated in many events celebrating the Tigers (and Corky's Mizzou heritage). She will be missed and remembered. My sincere condolences to all of you at this sad and difficult time. Please be comforted by the words of Thomas Campbell, the Scottish poet, who wrote: "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die."

Dear Karoline and John and families,
I am heartbroken. I adored your mom. What a wonderful person she was! I know she is with our Lord and Savior and your dad. May God give you comfort and peace. She is in heart and memory. Love you all,

Kathy was such a good person! She always had a smile on her face & always had a kind word. I enjoyed our conversations at Holy Cross.
