Community Education

Community Presentations

We believe that education is one of the most valuable resources we can provide to our community. When death occurs, people often find themselves overwhelmed with the numerous decisions that need to be made – all in a relatively short period of time. It has been our privilege to present educational information to our community for a number of years. Our goal of providing trusted and professional advice enables consumers to make better educated and informed decisions about funeral service. We will be pleased to coordinate a time to come and speak to your church group, school, hospice, club, organization, or senior center.

Here are some possible topics:

  • The ABCs of Planning Ahead
  • Have the Talk of a Lifetime
  • The Value of the Funeral
  • Creating Meaningful Services
  • Cremation – Is it for You?
  • Coping with a Loved One’s Death
  • Open Forum: Address your Questions
  • A Topic you Choose…

Tours

In addition to community presentations, we also offer educational field trips to our funeral home. Over the years, we have had a number of school and church groups participate in this unique and informative experience. We generally begin with an overview of the history of funeral service followed by a “behind the scenes” tour of our facility. If you would like more information about scheduling a tour for your group, please feel free to contact us.
